Recreation and Attractions in the MD of Peace
With museums, parks, campgrounds, market gardens, and even a ferry, there's always something to enjoy throughout the year. For a memorable camping experience, choose from Strong Creek Park, Brownvale Campground, or the Lac Cardinal Recreation Area. All our campsites are just $10 per night and can be easily booked online.
Our dedicated MD Recreation Department staff take great care of our facilities, which now feature newly installed fire pits and benches to enhance your outdoor experience. Whether you're cheering on your favorite team at the Alberta Pond Hockey Championships in winter, exploring history at the Lac Cardinal Museum's Pioneer Day celebration in summer, fishing in the Peace River, or joining the annual Paddle the Peace event with Peace Cabins and Outdoors, you'll find plenty to do.
