Fire Restriction
In accordance with MD of Peace No. 135 Fire Protection Bylaw 8/2023 section 10, and under the Forest and Prairie Protection Act, a Fire Control Order is now in effect for lands within MD of Peace No. 135 Jurisdiction located outside the Forest Protection Area.
***No new fire permits will be issued***
Previous burning sites should be checked for proper extinguishment.

· Prohibited: Exploding Targets & Tracer Rounds
· Prohibited: Backcountry Wood Fire Pit on Public Lands or Unsupervised Campgrounds;
· Prohibited: Tiki Torches;
· Prohibited: Fireworks;
Allowed: Backyard and Campground Fire Pits
Burn Barrels
Allowed: Spark Incinerator Regulated Under the Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act.
Allowed: Portable propane fire pits, stoves and BBQ's that are CSA approved or UL certified.
must be minimum of three (3) meter clearance, measured from the nearest fire pit edge is maintained from buildings, property lines, or other combustible material and have a mesh screen with openings no larger than 12.5 mm and constructed of expanded metal (or equivalent non-combustible material), gas or propane stove barbeques.
