The Lac Cardinal Hall, built in 1949, is located in the Recreation Lease managed by the MD of Peace No. 135 on the eastern shore of Lac Cardinal. The Municipality rents the 60′ X 100′ hall for all types of functions, only from May to October, as it is not kept heated during the winter months. For wedding parties, funerals, or dining & dances, the maximum occupancy load is 210.
In 2015, a new kitchen measuring 24′ x 26′ was added to the north end of the hall. The kitchen is equipped with an upright cooler, a 6-burner commercial gas range with oven, three sinks, and a small chest freezer. It also includes pots, pans, utensils, cups, dishes, some serving dishes, a 100-cup coffee urn, a 50-cup tea urn, trolley carts, and food totes. While there are no small appliances, there is ample counter space for caterers to prepare food, as well as plenty of cupboard storage. The kitchen can be rented independently if needed.
The hall features attached bathrooms that are equipped with hot water, and there is a small stage located at one end. In 2016, the hall underwent renovations, which included updates to the bar, storage areas, and the interior of the hall. In 2017, both the bathrooms and the front entry were renovated to make the entry wheelchair accessible. In the winter of 2025, the hall was renovated again; the entire floor in the main hall was removed, the ground was levelled to allow better air flow under the floor, and a new floor was installed.
The hall is furnished with 30 new 5-foot round tables (that seat 8) and 250 stacking chairs, which come with dollies for easy transport, as well as several rectangular folding tables available for rental.
The rental rate for the hall, plus GST, must be paid to secure the booking. The rental rates are listed below.
A damage deposit of $1,000.00 is required before the keys are released. This can be paid in cash, by a separate cheque, or via credit card pre-authorization (please note, an additional OptionPay fee is applied for the credit card payments). The damage deposit will be returned after the hall has been cleaned and passes inspection according to MD standards.

Prior to the release of the keys:
- **Liability Insurance** Liquor License and Host Liquor Liability Insurance or Event Liability Insurance must be provided one week prior to the event, as stated in clause #2 of the Rental Agreement.
- **Hall Damage Deposit:** A damage deposit is required and can be provided in cash, with a separate cheque, or through a credit card pre-authorization. Please be aware that Option Pay will charge an additional fee of $16.31 for credit card transactions. This deposit must be submitted at least one week before the event. The deposit will be refunded after the rental, provided that the hall is clean and undamaged to the satisfaction of the MD.
