Strong Creek Park

Strong Creek Park, located 8 km south of Peace River on Shaftesbury Trail, is a great spot for summer fun. Enjoy rustic camping, with facilities including washrooms, water, and a sheltered kitchen. Spend your day sunbathing, paddling, or fishing along the Peace River, just a short walk away. The park also features picnic tables, scenic hiking trails, and a playground for kids.  

There are no RV hookups, no power hookups or showers, and camping is seasonal.

During winter, Strong Creek Park is ideal for snowshoeing and winter hiking. The playground remains a hit with kids, and firepits are available for cozy winter picnics. 
Location: Approximately 12.5 km southeast of Peace River along Highway #684.

Campsite Booking Information. 

Thank you for choosing to stay with us! Here’s what you need to know to complete your booking:

  1. Payment Information:
    • The cost is $20 per night (for example, a 5-night stay will total $100), effective immediately.  There is a 14-day limit.
  2. Submission Process:
    • Once you have completed and submitted the booking form, a copy will be emailed to you automatically.
    • You will then be redirected to our payment platform through Option-Pay.
  3. Payment Instructions:
    • On the Option-Pay payment platform, please attach the emailed copy of your booking form in the attachments section.
  4. Confirmation:
    • After we receive both your booking form and payment, a representative from the MD Office will contact you to confirm your booking and provide you with a camping permit.

The personal information collected through the Camping Application will be used for the administration of a camping permit in the MD of Peace No. 135.
