Located near the entrance to Queen Elizabeth Provincial Park, this museum represents life from the 1920s through the 1940s. Four homes, a hall, a Municipal office, a school, a barn, pole sheds, a church, a blacksmith shop, a railway station, a barbershop, a general store, and a bakery, all furnished, depict pioneering life in this area.
Open Thursday to Monday, from Victoria Day weekend in May until Labour Day, from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. No admissions fees; donations are accepted.
The church is available during the summer for weddings, and the hall may be used for family or group activities. There is a $100 rental charge per facility.
Tours of the site may be arranged for groups or school children. Phone the Museum at 780-332-4659 or email laccardinalpioneervillage@gmail.com
