Voter Eligibility

To vote in the 2025 municipal election in Municipal District of Peace No. 135, you must be: 

• At least 18 years of age; 
• A Canadian citizen; and
• A resident of Municipal District of Peace No. 135 on the day that you vote.(s. 47 of the LAEA)
• only at the voting station for the voting subdivision in which the elector's place of residence is located on election day

Every person who attends a voting station in the Municipal District of Peace No. 135 who wishes to vote must

• be on the permanent electors register, and
• provide one piece of identification issued by a Canadian government, whether federal, provincial, or local, or an agency of that government, that contains your photograph

OR

• complete a statement in the prescribed form, adding you to the permanent electors register, and
• validate your identity and legal land location by providing:
  • one piece of identification issued by a Canadian government, whether federal, provincial, or local, or an agency of that government, that contains your photograph, name, and address of residence
  • provide two pieces of ID*, both containing your full name, and with one showing your current physical address
    • Another elector may vouch for your address only by completing the prescribed form provided at the voting station.
