MOWER OPERATOR - Seasonal
The Municipal District of Peace No. 135 is accepting applications for one (1) seasonal Mower Operator position for a tentative duration of May 12, 2026, to October 15, 2026 or earlier. Municipal Mower Operators operate a tractor with a 15-foot rotary cutter to mow grass and weeds on municipal road allowances, maintain all related equipment and assist with servicing and repairs, keep detailed records of work and equipment maintenance activities, and perform duties like rock picking, seeding ditches, or any other assigned duty.
Requirements: The successful candidate can work independently and as part of a team, communicate effectively and courteously with supervisor, coworkers, and the public, utilize strong problem solving skills, mechanical knowledge, and aptitude to repair and maintain tractors, mowers, and other implements, hold a valid class 5 driver’s license with current driver’s abstract, access a reliable vehicle in order to travel to various worksites, and perform medium lifting of 25 kgs and perform strenuous work outdoors for extended periods.
