2025 SHELTERBELT PROGRAM - We are extending the deadline for the Shelterbelt orders till we have sold all the trees that we have ordered or January 31, 2025.
Shelterbelt trees reduce wind and water erosion, help conserve energy in houses, and provide food shelter for the birds. To promote the establishment of shelterbelts and facilitate the MD of Peace ratepayers, the Agricultural Service Board will bulk order trees on a cost-recovery basis. Details of tree species and cost are on the shelterbelt trees order form, available in our office and on the MD website www.mdpeace.com. Trees can be ordered only in bundles of 10 or 15, and all orders must be received and paid for by January 31, 2025. The MD residents can pick up their trees from the MD office by the end of May or early June 2025.
