We wish to recognize farm and ranch families who have continuously owned and actively operated the same family land for 100 years or 125 years or more.
Program Overview
- 100-Year Award: Honors families with a century or more of continuous ownership and operation.
- 125-Year Recognition: Celebrates deep-rooted multigenerational farms with a quarter-century more of heritage.
- Commemoration: Recipients receive a bronze plaque or gate sign to mark their lasting contribution to rural communities.
- Legacy: Nearly 1,700 families have been honored since the program started in 1993.
How to Apply
- Documentation: Applicants must provide an original Land Title or historic land documents from the Provincial Archives of Alberta to prove direct descent from the original homesteader.
- Submission: Forms and details are available through the Alberta Century Farm and Ranch Award Application.
